Welcome to Cosmopolitan United Church! We are excited to welcome our new interm pastor, Reverend Robert Preston Price, to the Cosmopolitan United Church family.
Here are few significant things we read about the Reverend Robert Preston Price –
Family: Married to Jean M. Price, a retired teacher and professional musician, interim organist at the Chicago Temple; son John Price, a K-8 principal in Chicago Public Schools, married to Cheryl, a lawyer, with 2 children; son Robert Price, an Episcopal priest, married to Kate, with 3 children.
Experience: Yes, Pastor Preston Price is being resurrected from his retired status after serving seven churches in the California-Pacific Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church until 2008. He did not have much of a retirement time, really. One thing noteworthy though is that he served a congregation of 50% Filipinos in Hawaii, to highlight his already multi-cultural exposure, why he had to learn a little Ilocano.
Education and Other Duties: Pastor Preston Price received his Th.M. from Boston University School of Theology in 1970, his B.A. in Humanities from California Western University three years earlier. He had served the larger church in several capacities: district, annual conference, and general conference. As the saying goes, he’s been there — done that.
